machine planning across a growing site
During Sunrise Festival 2023, I managed gatekeeping, machine planning and keys across a growing festival site. I tracked who needed each machine and where it should be positioned for the next morning.
The challenge
Telehandlers, access platforms and other machines were shared by several suppliers. If keys, timing and location did not align, a crew lost valuable time before the actual work could begin.
Our approach
I labelled machines, recorded their use and issued keys to the assigned users. Each evening, I reviewed the plan and arranged for equipment to be moved to the next work zone where possible. Arriving suppliers were received and directed to their work area.
The result
Suppliers could start faster and production kept a clearer overview of shared equipment. The gain came from less searching, less waiting and fewer unexpected blockages across the site.
